Possible suggestions: 

Dots – make small dots, big dots, clusters, or patterns.Lines – straight, curved, wavy, zigzag, broken, thick, or thin lines.Scribbling – loose, messy marks to show energy or movement.Hatching – parallel lines to create shading.Cross-hatching – crossing lines over each other to create darker shading.Smudging – rub charcoal, pencil, or pastel to create soft areas.Stippling – use lots of tiny dots to build up tone or texture.Swirls – create circular or spiral marks for movement and decoration.Textures – make marks that look like fur, hair, wood, leaves, scales, or fabric.Pressure changes – press harder for dark/thick marks and lightly for pale/thin marks.Repetition – repeat the same mark to create patterns.Layering – put different marks and colours over each other.Directional marks – change the direction of your marks to show the shape of an object.Scratching – scratch into paint, charcoal, or other materials to reveal marks underneath.Printing/stamping – use objects such as leaves, sponges, bubble wrap, ortextured materials to create repeated marks.Dripping/splattering – flick or drip paint to create random, energetic marks.
